3M™ Fire Barrier Electrical Box Inserts EBI-4 & EBI-5
3M™ Fire Barrier Electrical Box Inserts are flexible, one-piece intumescent inserts designed to protect metallic electrical boxes in 1- and 2-hour rated gypsum wall assemblies. With full adhesive backing and convenient slits for wiring access, they are well suited for both new construction and retrofit applications. When exposed to fire, the insert expands to fill the box, helping prevent the spread of fire and limit temperature rise.
Scotch® Fire-Retardant Electric Arc Proofing Tape 77
Scotch® Fire-Retardant Electric Arc Proofing Tape 77 is a 30 mil thick, flame-retardant, electric arc proofing tape designed to protect most types of electrical cables from potential failures in adjacent cables. Its conformable elastomer backing allows virtually wrinkle-free wrapping and makes the tape easy to apply and remove for cable inspection. When exposed to fire, the material expands to form a protective char between the flame and cable.
3M™ Fire Barrier Pillows
3M™ Fire Barrier Pillows are self-contained, intumescent products designed for use in through-penetration firestops, providing up to 3 hours of protection. This fire barrier pillow expands to form a hard char that tightly seals against flame spread, smoke and toxic gases. Pillows are also engineered to be re-enterable and re-useable for new or retrofit installations.
3M™ Fire Barrier Moldable Putty Stix MP+
3M™ Fire Barrier Moldable Putty Stix MP+ is a one-part, re-enterable, intumescent putty that can be easily formed to firestop through penetrations and blank openings in fire-rated assemblies. Formulated dark red, this easily moldable putty stick provides up to 4 hours of fire protection. These putty stix also produce a draft and cold smoke seal and help reduce noise transfer.3M™ Fire Barrier Moldable Putty Pads MPP+
3M™ Fire Barrier Moldable Putty Pads MPP+ are a one-part firestop material used in various fire-rated assemblies, such as electrical box protection. Designed to prevent the spread of fire, smoke and noxious gasses, this intumescent material comes ready to use in convenient 1/10" (2.54 mm) thick pads that are conformable by hand with no mixing or tools. Pads are firestop tested up to 2 hours.
3M™ Fire Barrier Sealant CP 25WB+
3M™ Fire Barrier Sealant CP 25WB+ is a one-component, latex-based intumescent sealant that forms a firestop seal and helps maintain protection for up to 4 hours. It also helps minimize sound transfer, with an STC rating of 54 when tested in an STC 54-rated wall assembly. Designed to help control the spread of fire, smoke and noxious gases, the sealant expands a minimum of three times its dried volume when exposed to temperatures above 1000°F (538°C).
This halogen-free, sag-resistant sealant offers strong adhesion to a variety of construction substrates and requires no mixing. It can be applied with conventional caulking equipment and is water-based, paintable, re-enterable and repairable for easy application and clean-up.
