Business and Public Sector EV Programs

Take advantage of valuable rebates for transitioning to electric vehicles and installing EV charging infrastructure. Businesses and public sector organizations are increasingly adopting EV solutions to cut operating costs, reduce emissions, and lower noise levels. This program provides a streamlined path to electrification with incentives for both fleet vehicle upgrades and charger installations.

 

Make-Ready Rebates

  • Rebates available for upgrading EV charging infrastructure (make-ready† electrical work).
  • ComEd business and public sector customers may qualify for:
    • Up to $8,000* per port (max 10 ports per project)
    • Up to $1,000* per kW for DC Fast Chargers (min. 50kW, max $500,000)

Eligibility Requirements

  • Apply within 90 days of project completion.
  • Projects finished between June 1, 2023, and Feb 15, 2024, must apply by May 15, 2024.
  • For maximum rebate, vehicles must be domiciled in or operate 50%+ in a Select Community.*

ComEd’s EV Charger and Installation Rebate Program

ComEd is making it easier and more affordable to charge electric vehicles at home. Through its EV Charger and Installation Rebate Program, eligible Residential Select Customers* can receive up to $3,750 in rebates toward the purchase and installation of a Level 2 smart charger—offering significantly faster charging than standard Level 1 options. Take advantage of the benefits of electric vehicles, including reduced fuel costs, lower maintenance, and a cleaner, more efficient driving experience.


EV Charger & Installation Rebate

Residential customers may qualify for a rebate of up to $3,750* for purchasing and installing a Level 2 smart charger at home. These chargers offer faster charging speeds, scheduling features, and energy usage tracking via smartphone app. Rebates apply to chargers purchased and installed on or after February 1, 2024.

  • Eligibility Requirements

    • Rebates are available for WiFi-enabled Level 2 EV chargers purchased and installed on or after February 1, 2024.
    • Applications must be submitted within 90 days of installation.
    • Rebates may cover EV chargers, installation, labor, conduit, cables, fasteners, and electric panels.
    • Single-family and multi-family residential customers with a ComEd account may qualify.
    • Commercial accounts should refer to the EV Make-Ready Rebate Program.
    • Customers must enroll in a time-variant supply rate for at least 3 years.

    Available for Select Customers*

    • Customers domiciled in or serving low-income communities.
    • Customers located in Environmental Justice (EJ) or Restore, Reinvest, Renew (R3) communities, collectively known as Equity Investment Eligible Communities (EIECs).
    • Customers who attest that over 50% of driving occurs in low-income or EIEC-designated areas.
