Crown Industrial Supply has been serving the Illinois industrial market since 1944. Steiner acquired Crown in 1999 to enhance their "TOTAL SOLUTION" capabilities.

Crown is a
"FULL LINE" industrial products distributor with "SPECIALTY APPLICATION" capabilities in cutting tools, abrasives, fluid management, band saw service, and MRO support. As part of Steiner's "TOTAL SOLUTION" strategy, Crown Industrial provides many "VALUE ADDED" services.

1) Band Saw Blade Weld Shop Two band saw welding machines allows us the ability to ship your blade the same day. Our welders are factory trained by Lenox. You can depend on a very high quality blade produced in various lengths in carbon, high speed and carbide tipped up to 2" wide.

2) Preventative Maintenance Programs Making sure you band saw operates properly with limited down time is critical. Just like any machine, it requires preventative maintenance. Please allow us the opportunity to discuss a Preventative Maintenance Program or actually provide a repair quote for any of your band saw machines. Our services include the blade, rollers, guides, motors, machine cleaning, and digital analysis to name a few of the items on the maintenance check list.

3) Tooling Re-Sharp & Re-Coat Crown Industrial is a leader in "APPLIED APPLICATION" solutions for numerous cutting tool in-plant projects. Selling new tooling is one thing, but we offer a complete re-sharp and re-coat service. We will pick-up and ship tooling scheduled for rework, to a certified re-sharp & re-coat Chicago based company, or directly to the original manufacturer. You will be able to document the benefit of using a professionally sharpened tool.

4) Application Specialists Since 1944, Crown Industrial has taken pride in having in-house factory trained product specialists. The ability for our customers to tap into this "local" resource to enhance productivity is only a phone call away.

5) Fluid Management.
Our team has a "CRADLE TO GRAVE" solution for our customers' fluid and chemical issues.

That is a lot, but it is our "TOTAL SOLUTION" concept for your fluid management needs. The Fluid Management Team is on call 7 days a week to discuss and review a program to manage your total fluid/chemical needs.

6) Product Training and Safety
We offer our customers a three fold approach to product safety and hands on product training. Our training team can visit a customer at their location for scheduled training for all staff regardless of shift status. Our state of the art training facility in Elk Grove Village is always available. The third option is to arrange our customer's staff to visit the manufacturer's in-plant facilities.

7) Account Strategic Action Plan - ASAP
Increased productivity, reduced downtime, scrap rate, run rate, cycle time, piece price, and tooling cost are just a few of the "BUZZ" words covering our review program. The "ASAP" is a review process solution to help document the data needed to make production related decisions, produce cost savings, and develops a strategic relationship between our customer, Steiner, and the tooling manufacturer. The results are a consistent documented cost savings and productivity improvement process, easy to review and present to any management level.
