Our in-house technical support staff can accommodate your most challenging variable frequency drive application, providing the right drive for your needs while also offering on-site start-up and troubleshooting to ensure maximum up time and performance.
Your Steiner application engineer will clarify the advantages achieved, including reduced energy costs when controlling an AC motor with a Variable Frequency Drive (VFD). In many applications, operating at full speed is not necessary, very costly and can be avoided. For a typical HVAC application, adding a drive can save up to 75% of your electricity costs. VFDs also extend motor life and help cut maintenance costs through their ability to deliver "soft" starts and ease mechanical stress. For optimum performance in a manufacturing application, VFDs can be programmed to run the motor at a precise speed, to stop at a precise position, or to apply a specific amount of torque.
