24 Hour Motor Repair Services Motor repair is a craft that has been passed down generation to generation, but it is also a technology that requires a significant investment in capital equipment and technical training. Our technicians average over 25 years of apparatus and motor repair experience. Our initial inspection includes a cost analysis to determine the value of repairing your motor versus a new motor replacement directly from our extensive inventory. Whether we repair your motor on-site or bring it into our shop, you can be sure that the quality standards of our ISO 9002 certification and EASA procedures are closely followed:
- After hours emergency motor repair service
- Full-service apparatus repair
- Complete machine shop repair and modification
- In-shop dynamic balancing
- All windings to Class H standards
- 2-year electrical warranty
- 1-year mechanical warranty
- UL listing for hazardous locations
- Extensive inventory of carbon brushes
- Epoxy-based Class H varnish
We maintain a large inventory of standard energy-efficient motors and drives. Our in-house machine shop maximizes our ability to modify any motor to the exact specifications of your application, assuring fast and dependable service and delivery.
Drive Startup
Steiner's extensive variable frequency drive offering includes the industry's leading manufacturers, for both AC and DC requirements. Our in-house technical support staff can accommodate your most challenging variable frequency drive application, providing the right drive for your needs while also offering on-site start-up and troubleshooting to ensure maximum up time and performance.
Your Steiner application engineer will clarify the advantages achieved, including reduced energy costs when controlling an AC motor with a Variable Frequency Drive (VFD). In many applications, operating at full speed is not necessary, very costly and can be avoided. For a typical HVAC application, adding a drive can save up to 75% of your electricity costs. VFDs also extend motor life and help cut maintenance costs through their ability to deliver "soft" starts and ease mechanical stress. For optimum performance in a manufacturing application, VFDs can be programmed to run the motor at a precise speed, to stop at a precise position, or to apply a specific amount of torque.
